FORNNAX EXPANDS PRIMARY SHREDDER SERIES WITH SR-200HD

Mumbai, India – March 20, 2024: Fornnax, a leading global innovator in recycling equipment, is excited to unveil the SR-200HD Dual-Shaft Primary Shredder, a revolutionary product. The renowned India Rubber Expo (IRE) at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai will showcase this cutting-edge technology on March 20, 2024. The SR-200HD represents a major advancement in recycling technology, showcasing Fornnax’s commitment to engineering innovation and environmental responsibility.

FORNNAX has always been committed to constantly innovating and developing new products to meet the growing need for high-capacity pre-shredders from Fornnax. The new HD (heavy-duty) primary shredder of the SR series has been designed to be more powerful than the previous standard version that was introduced four years ago. The input capacity of this model is the highest in the Fornnax SR-series models.

Ideal Industrial Applications
The SR-200HD is specifically designed for high-volume tyre shredding applications. Additionally, it can be utilized for other applications, such as municipal solid waste, wood pallets, industrial and commercial waste, and many more.

Competitive pre-shredders are in high demand worldwide due to the strict waste treatment policies. The introduction of the SR-200HD brings significant opportunities for industries in the Middle East and Australia (due to full-tyre export bans from Australia and steel export bans from the Middle East) and Europe, where an increasing need for advanced recycling solutions is evident.

Our main focus is large-scale recyclers and cement plants requiring high-capacity machinery. The trust we have built in the global market over the years has allowed us to secure six pre- launch orders from India, Australia, the Middle East, and Europe.

Fornnax’s Objective is to Become a Leader in Recycling Technology
FORNNAX focuses more on designing and developing new products that cater to specific input tyre types to enhance efficiency rather than offering standard models suitable for all tyre types.

FORNNAX invests more in R&D each year as we prioritize developing new products that meet customers’ needs rather than using old standard products. Additionally, we have improved our standard models based on customer feedback based on CPCD (Customer- Based Product Development Process). Fornnax is a recycling equipment manufacturing company that focuses on multiple applications to establish a wide client base and aims to become the world’s largest shredder manufacturing company for tyre, municipal solid waste, metal, e-waste and cable recycling applications. The company has 14 new shredder models under development until 2030, and they are designed to meet the heavy demands of high-volume applications and users.

Technical Specifications and features
The new shredders come with proven knives that have been developed by Fornnax and are designed to meet the needs of customers. The SR-200HD is able to work with the most challenging materials due to the high torque produced by its slow-speed shafts. With the help of a quick shaft change system, the end user can switch from working in one application to another. The SR-200HD, a high-capacity addition to our range, has already been in high demand among our customers worldwide.

There are various variants of the SR200HD available for various markets. The SR200 with a disc classifier will produce 60 to 150-mm output sizes that can be fed to downstream equipment. SR-200HD, equipped with a Trommel screen, generates output sizes of 60-80 mm, known as TDF alternative fuel for the cement industry. The SR-200HD without a screen produces output sizes up to 400 mm, called single-pass rough shreds. The larger shaft centre and 750 mm diameter knives result in more discharge space, ensuring the processing of bulky and high-thickness materials, such as agricultural tyres, truck tyres, and OTR tyres.

Commercial benefits / Economic Advantages:

  • The new HD model delivers low cost-per-ton, high reliability, easy operation, and increased flexibility for various types of tyres. It is also designed for sites requiring a 25-ton per-hour production capacity.
  • The SR-200HD model provides higher capacity due to its high RPM and torque, reducing manpower, electricity, and wear costs.
  • The HD model focuses on the TDF application (Tyre Derived Fuel) in cement plants, where typically, 3 to 4 lines are employed to maximize production. The SR 200HD system operates on a single line and provides output equivalent to 3-4 smaller lines.
